Hey God, It's me Margaret by Judy Blume

Hey God, It's me Margaret is a book written by Judy Blume. It's a great book for teenagers like me:) It's basically a book about a young girl named Margaret(as you probably saw in the title) who is facing many everyday life problems like all people:) She wants to be mature already, she wants to get her period already- she cannot wait when she's going to get it. She goes through all of the stages of growing up. She's starting to look for boys, she makes a club with all of her friends. She also has problems with religion because one of her parents is Jewish, and her grandma takes her to the Jewish church. Margaret is kinda in the middle, she doesn't know in what to believe-God, or the Jews?? She preys to God, and tells him about her whole day before going to sleep:) That book has a really happy ending because at the end, she finally gets her period:) She is so excited when she gets it:) I can totally relate to that book:) That's how I am now. Growing up and looking all around for cute boys:) Ya hehe. When I read that book, I always had those-"Yea, that's exactly me!" Moments. I really enjoyed that book, because I like to read books about  some people that I can relate to, and that I can learn from:)

True Love vs. First Love

Which kind of love do You prefer? Is it True Love? Or is it First Love? Well, after reading the book Forever, by Judy Blume, I noticed the big difference between true love and first love. Now, that book was a little bit for adults, I would say. It included sexual parts-which I skipped. But, it was  great book, because it showed me and teach me a quite Big lesson that I will always remember about, (especially when I fell in love!!) I am not going to tell You the whole summary of that book, but I would like to tell You the greatest lesson that Judy Blume meant to teach all of the readers:) Now I would recommend it mostly to the woman , but it might be good for girls too! Well, every teenager react different if they read about or see something inappropriate. So, let's get back to the subject of that post. The lesson, or moral that I learned is that Your first love cannot be Your true love. Well, First love is when You get a boyfriend/Girlfriend when You're a little older and You understand the world better, but You don't understand Love, the way that experienced people understand it. When You first get a boyfriend/girlfriend You are starting to try out new things and yes I mean things like sex, Your first real kiss(not in he cheek , but in the mouth) That's the time when You think that You know everything about Love, and when You start to trust the person. That's what happened in that book -Forever with that girl, she started to experiment with new stuff with that first boy in her life. He just wanted to do... You know what with her. But when her parent sent her to camp, she met a new boy and she fell in love with him(You know love at first sight) When her boyfriend caught with him, he got so mad at her, and told her that he cheated on her with all of the girls too. But, she didn't believe him. I did thought, he knew how it feels to have sex, and he probably liked it and he was a skunk, that's why he decided to cheat on her:( The ending of that books was a little devastating, because I thought they are going to marry, and be forever.  So, now You probably see that True love will last forever, and First Love not:) Now, some people are with each other for many many years, and everything is good between them, but some people even thought they were with each other for many years, and they don't match, they have fights, and they get divorced. Now, True love doesn't come automatically, it takes time to meet someone for your entire life.

The Hatchet by Gary Paulsen

Just finishing to read the short novel-The Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. It's a good book basically about a young teenage boy named Brian. Brian's parents are divorced and he is flying in a private plane with only one pilot to his father for the vacation. But, when he realizes that in the middle of the flight the pilot gets a heart attack, Brian is left only with that plane, and the pilot dead:( That's when he realizes that he might get killed. He starts to try to steer the plane, in order to at least land in the water, not on the tree to not get killed. It will take all his will and knowledge to survive. When he finally does land in the water and survive, that's still not the end of his adventures. He lands in the middle of  a small abandoned Canadian island, where there are no people at all. He doesn't even know where is he in the world, because when the plane was flying it turned around, and Brian doesn't know how much it lied the other way. Now, it will take all of his will and hope and knowledge to survive in that Canadian island, where he has only animals to count on. He is left with nothing only the Hatchet that his mother gave him for good luck, and twenty dollar bill, which he later torn into pieces. This book showed me that knowledge is the power, to basically everything! You never know what will happen to You!! Like Brian, everything was supposed to be normal and just right- he was supposed to land in his father's house, and eat a big hot meal, but instead he is all alone, no food, and nothing! In that book he's trying to point out that Food is everything. Throughout the book Brian is searching for food everywhere-in the forests, in the lakes,etc...etc...

Me Myself And I

Me Myself And I-when You saw that title, probably the first thought that came into Your mind is that this post will be about (ME!!) of course it will!! Hope You're excited;) But don't get discouraged already:( It's going to be interesting and (Funny!!) I promise:) I would like to start from how I lived in Poland, and why I came here to America. I was born in Poland, Lubaczow. Lubaczow is the name of a town that I lived in. I lived in  a apartment, and I know that before in my post I claimed that village is better than city, it's because I did know how a village looked like, because I often-very very often visited my grandparent who lived in the village. My grandparents lived with my aunts- so I didn't have to go to many places at once to visit my relatives;) I had all of them in one place:) That village where my relatives live is called-Szczutkow. Hard to pronounce right?? I know... Polish language is hard:) So, I didn't live in that village, I lived in a smaller town as I mentioned before. But, as I said before I visited my relatives very often because I really liked it in that village. I often played outside with my aunts, and I spend a lot of good time there:) Poland was a good place to live too, but I didn't like it:( First, everything is really expensive there, and the politics are crazy! So we needed to move out of there:) My mom and dad first went to Krakow to try to get a visa. I hoped that we could get a visa, and we(GOT IT!!) It was great news:) So then we came into NYC and that's how my history went on and on and on:) So, let me go back to my past in Lubaczow:) I don't come from a wealthy family, I can say that I was poor when we lived in Poland. I had a really poor education, and my parents didn't really have money to buy me new clothes:( Well, I always wanted to learn, and I'm learning so much now to have a better education and a better life when I grow up:) My mother always explained to me to learn a lot, and that's just how I became:) Always sitting in books(well, did I say Always) Hehe. But, in my house back in Poland there wasn't many books. When I came into NYC, I started to read more and more, until when I dived into all of those great books, like by Judy Blume or Gary Paulsen:)

On Being Creative everyday:)

I'm trying to get into the daily reading habit again! I read a lot of books, but the problem is that sometimes I take a  really big break from reading, which is about 1 to 2 weeks long. Which bothers me so much, because I really wish that I had the habit to read every single day, and to enrich my vocabulary more and more. But, I'm finishing to read The Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen. It's a really great book, because it has many different parts with a lot of different characters and cool scenes. Now, while I'm doing three things at the same time-reading that book, that I wrote about above, writing on my super precious, magical blog, and last but not least petting my cute little gorgeous puppy-(Tofik) I just love him, he's the best, now that's a different story(maybe someday I will write about him on my super blog) Now as You see I am trying to keep up with my reading. Last time I read a book called-Footsteps. I really enjoyed the books(although it took me a long time to read) But, it was about that woman(later she became a widow, but don't get sad, she remarried!) Her name was Debra Patterson-her children were gone in the blink of an eye:( Well You have to read it for yourself to find out more:) I truly recommend that book, especially to woman who have children. It's a really sad story, tears were pouring down my cheeks as I read that part when she first saw her children after they were abducted from here:( It was a book that I would never forget, and I really loved it-it was just great:)

A Ride Around Nyc.

I love sports! But, I don't do it often, even thought I really would like to:) But, I often ride on my bike(which I guess is also considered a kind of sport!!) Sometimes I ride around a park or in that park:), but usually I get to ride around(New York City!!) um.... it can't get any....COOLER:) I know hehe LOL(how American teens tend to write) Well, NYC is a beautiful place to live in-especially Manhattan, Times Squere at night. Or, the Brooklyn Bridge, which is also cool to ride on:) I usually go on a shorter trip on my bike:) Well, since I'm a girl I have a pink bike. I really like to ride on a bike, I thinks it's really fun!!! I also like to cool off and relax as I ride on my bike:) Now, baking is not my greatest hobby or something, it's just a thing I like to do in my free time. I like to bike around NYC at night, when there is less people, and on Manhattan- lights all around. So I can't get into a accident because all of the commercials are on, and the lights kinda guide me which way to go, or which way is it safer. I always get my I-pod on, my favorite music-Taylor swift and head into the City of my dreams!!

A visit to Prospect Park

Today, me and my family went to Prospect Park(which is located in NYC) I really liked it- it was great for a number of reasons. There was a lot of green. It was so quiet and cool there:) I relaxed more, and got a break from my everyday life, and from the rush. It's a great way to cool off, and to keep your mind of the stress and work. There are many trees, and flowers. Also many people bring their dogs there( I took mine too) There are many places for dogs like free space where dogs can go off-leash, or places where dogs can play with other dogs. There were many big dogs, but my dog is a really poor animal and he was so scared of that other big dogs getting ready to attack him he he:) There was a lot of little lakes where unfortunately we couldn't swim, but it was great to look at it:) There were ducks swimming all around those lakes. There was Lemna on the water. But, the lemna looked like You could walk on it. So, my brother(12 years old) felled into it, because he thought that You could walk on it. Today, when I saw it I though that You could walk on it too (But, I didn't fell in it) I touched it, and underneath it was water flooding:) It seems really cool to me because I like really never saw it before:( For some of You it might seem too weird to be true, but that's just reality:)

Coffee

I love Coffee!! I drink coffee everyday(I know it's unhealthy) So, the most I like coffee from Dunkin Donuts:) In Nyc people drink lots of coffee, and there are many cafes that sell delicious coffee. Like, McDonulds, Starbuck Coffee,etc... Althought, Coffee s very unhealthy for us, because it contains a lot of caffeine, and after You drink it, you may have difficulties with falling to sleep. But many peoplninge drink it-usually in the morning, because it stops sleeping. You know how difficult it is to wake up.My coffee.

Village vs. City

Everyone is different! Some people think that Village is better, while some people think that City is better. Everyone have different opinions. But, as of my past experiences and exceptions, I prefer a village. (even thought I live in NYC) well, at first when I came to NYC I really liked it, because it's a huge city and I've never ever in my life saw a city like that!! So that was great news for us, that we got visa. But, after 5 years that I'm living here I'm starting to get tired of all of that:( There is too many people here-the people are everywhere and the rush. I just hate it. Now, another thing here-in NYC is the garbage:( It's everywhere-under the trees, next to my house,etc... Well, but I think that the resolution to the problem of garbage would be to place more trashes around! So, as I said earlier I would prefer a Village better-(because I lived on  a village for may years with my grandma) I love the quietness and the relaxation:)
